In addition to these activities, I am a writer and legal scholar, possessing an LLB from the University of Alberta, and was honoured to win the 2000 Gordon F. Henderson/SOCAN Copyright Award for my work on music copyright. I am also a contributor to International Piano, the premier worldwide publication on piano and pianists.

 

I hold a Bachelor of Music with distinction in piano performance from the University of Calgary and a Master of Music in performance and composition from the University of Western Ontario as well as doctoral graduate work at the University of British Columbia.

 

Further, I have certificates in filmmaking, film scoring screenwriting from NYU, UCLA and Simon Frazer Universities.
